OREANDA-NEWS. February 8, 2008. New post was added into Power Machines corporate structure. Dr. Krueger was appointed new 1st Deputy Director General of Power Machines. Earlier Dr. Krueger was in charge of Siemens PG’s Gas Turbines Subdivision.

At the new appointment Dr. Krueger will be in charge of planning, management and control of all production process inside the company as well as operation coordination.

Dr. Wolf Dietrich Krueger was born in 1951. He studied engineering at the University of Rostok in Germany and received his doctorate in engineering. Dr. Krueger qualified for university professorship in 1987 at Zittau Technical University with habilitation on reliability and safety of power plant components.

After working for many years for Bergmann-Borsig Company (Berlin, Germany), Dr. Krueger joined Siemens AG Power Generation in 1990. One of the first projects was to set up a new Gas Turbine Joint Venture “Interturbo” together with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod in Saint-Petersburg. Dr. Krueger headed “Interturbo” from 1991 to 1993.

He subsequently became Head of Product Development for new combustion turbines at Siemens PG in Muelheim (Germany).

From 1996 to September 2005 Dr. Krueger was Head of Siemens gas turbine manufacturing plant in Berlin. In 1998 he took over as Head of Manufacturing of Siemens PG’s global gas turbine manufacturing activities based at the plants in Berlin and Hamilton (Canada) as well as Head of Purchasing and Order Management at Orlando (USA). He headed Siemens PG’s Gas Turbines Subdivision since October 1, 2005.

Since February 2008 Dr. Krueger has been appointed 1st Deputy Director General of Power Machines.
