OREANDA-NEWS. On February 08, 2007 Press-service of Kazakhtelecom JSC (Astana), whose shares are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) official "A" listing category, spread press-release saying, reported the press-centre of KASE:

During the year 2007 Kazakhtelecom JSC was conducting active work to implement the Program of company's technical development for years 2007-2010. In its frames the management of the company set the goals of increasing the volume and the services range due to intensive development on the basis of innovational technologies and improving the quality of services, and also of creating the conditions for the Republic of Kazakhstan to join the world's top 50 most competitive countries by the level of development of information and communication industry.

Particularly, to realize the tasks set, on the instructions of the Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC Askar Zhumagaliev, already in October 2006, 13 working group were created; they had to elaborate the suggestions regarding: decreasing the tariffs for the services of telecommunications and access to the Internet; improving the quality of maintenance the users of
services; regarding the question of acquiring the alternative operators to the company's network; concerning the questions of wages; about optimization of a number of staff and organizational structure of branches; regarding elaboration of the Strategy of technical development; stirring up of work for an increase in transit traffic in the direction of Asia-Europe; promotion of Kazakhtelecom JSC on the foreign markets; development of electronic services to the republic's population and others. By the results of analysis of suggestions of the mentioned groups, the management of Kazakhtelecom JSC elaborated during 2007 and accepted an entire complex of means of positioning of the company on the telecommunication market in the conditions of liberalization.
