OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2007. Major companies operating in the Ukrainian market of electric technologies, IEK Ukraine, ABB, Novatek Elektro, and a number of other firms helped create a new laboratory at the Lviv Politekhnika National University, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

It opened at the University's training department, the Institute of Power Industry and Control Systems, and created favorable conditions for familiarizing future electricity engineers with the basic range of contemporary electric devices of a low and average complexity. The cycle of studies also envisages representation of products by home and foreign maker of low-voltage equipment.

"The capacities of this training complex are very important not only for our students," Mykhailo Khay, lecturer of the University's electric machines and devices department. It is planned to set up on the basis of this laboratory a training center for experts interested in the use of low-voltage electric units of power supply systems and electric device control. It is not by chance that our partners in this project are Ukraine's known companies from Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv. They need experts familiar with the latest developments in this area, who would be able to put them into work.
