OREANDA-NEWS. On February 18, 2008 Health and Safety Management System at Lebedinsky Iron ore mining and processing plant is certified according to international standard OHSAS 18001. BSI experts made this recommendation after they had analyzed the results of certification audit conducted at the plant at the end of 2007, reported the press-centre of Lebedinsky GOK.

The certificate proves that health and safety management system at the enterprise is in compliance with the international standard OHSAS 18001 and guarantees continuous improvement of the main safety risks and occupational health management processes.

The certificate audit provides an opportunity to work out a strategy of industrial safety system development according to international standards. OHSAS 18001 certificate enables the company to be competitive at the global market and demonstrates its commitment to safeguard employees and environment from harmful incidents.
