OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 February 2008 was announced, that about 4,000 families living now in 5-storey and dilapidated houses in north Moscow are to get new apartments.

“Most families to move to new apartments are living in the districts: Beskudnikovsky, Levoberezhny, Dmitrovsky and Khovrino,” a press service of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to the press service, the first thousand of families (2,300 people) will have moved by the end of the first quarter of 2008.

In 2007 about 7,000 families living in the district got apartments due to the city program, including 4,700 families moved from dilapidated houses and 2,300 families got apartments as people on the waiting list.
