OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 February 2008 was announced, that five student dormitories are to be built in Moscow during 2008-2010, Viktor Stulov, main specialist of the department of social services for trainees and employees of Russia’s Department of Education and Science, declared, RIA Novosti reported.

According to Mr Stulov, currently the students in Moscow are provided with dormitories by 89 per cent. There are 48 institutes of higher education and 118 dormitories under the federal control in Moscow, 68,000 students live in these dormitories.

“Five new dormitories are planned to be built in Moscow in 2008-2010. The rest of housing stock of the Moscow institutes of higher education needs to be put in order,” the official added.
