OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 February 2008 was announced, that strengthening its reputation of HoReCa partner  in cooperation with 20 suppliers METRO Cash & Carry Ukraine presented its first in the series Culinary Book for professional chef-cooks “Smachnoho!” which is carrying 27 exclusive recipes by the well-known in Ukraine French cook Herve Bourdon. 

Starting February 27, 8 000 copies of the book appeared on the shelves of METRO Cash & Carry stores. Being sold exclusively within METRO the raised funds will be invested into the cooking master-classes for chef-cooks of METRO’s HoReCa customers. During 2008 every store will host a master-class delivered by Herve Bourdon to share the secrets of cooking. Participants, METRO Cash & Carry HoReCa customers will have an opportunity to preliminary “vote” for the recipes to be prepared during the event. All chef-cooks joining the event will receive a copy of “Smachnoho!” cooking book as a present. According to the plan over 1 500 HoReCa professionals will join master-classes.

The 27 recipes from Herve Bourdon come live for the first time on the 65 pages of “Smachnoho!” book: from hot oysters under red wine to foie-gras cappuccino. Supplied by quality photography featuring the final dish, eight most difficult ones are supplied by intermediate pictures illustrating the process. The recipes developed for 4 persons are supported by detailed instructions.

“Creating this book I wanted to share my passion for the art of cooking. There is nothing more intimate than preparing a dish for another person” – shares Herve Bourdon. “There are no secrets on the kitchen. It is like an orchestra with a chef-cook as a conductor. When the chef-cook does not share the secrets nothing works”.

The book is created for professionals of HoReCa business. It not only enables restaurants to enrich their menus with new dishes but also allows for partners of the company to tell more about their products. Every recipe features a small story from the supplier of one of the key ingredients of the recipe advising on the choice of the product. All products used in the recipes are available at currently operating 18 METRO Cash & Carry wholesale stores in Ukraine.
