OREANDA-NEWS. March 3, 2008. Nearly Br1548 billion are projected to be put in the Belarusian village provision of up-to-date equipment in 2008. On February 28, the President of Belarus signed decree #139 on 2008 finances determined by the National Programme of Providing the Agricultural Production with Modern Equipment for 2005-2010.

The document has been developed to provide agricultural organizations with new equipment and switch them to the cutting-edge production technologies.

To implement the programme in 2008, the Brest oblast is set to allocate Br188.8 billion, the Vitebsk oblast – Br214 billion, the Gomel oblast – Br242 billion, the Grodno oblast – Br219.5 billion, the Minsk oblast – Br262.6 billion, the Mogilev oblast – Br222.4 billion, Belagroservis (centralized leasing deliveries of tractors and agricultural trucks) – Br198 billion.

The equipment purchases will be financed by the national fund to support manufacturers of agricultural products, foodstuffs and agrarian science (Br426 billion), oblast budgets (Br8.9 billion), funds of the organizations (Br53.3 billion), banking loans (Br1059.8 billion).

In 2008 the agricultural sector will be provided with 1000 tractors, 500 trucks, 1500 grain harvesters, 200 fodder harvesters, 70 potato combines and 10 flax-pullers, 500 loaders, 400 ploughs, 300 till-plant outfits, 800 vehicles and equipment for grain drying farms, cattle-breeding facilities and other equipment.
