OREANDA-NEWS. On February 29, 2008 Vladimir Yakunin, the president of Russian Railways, took part in a conference at the Company’s regional subsidiary Far Eastern Railways on the implementation of the collective agreement for 2007, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.

The conference was held in Khabarovsk on Russia’s Pacific Coast.

According to Yakunin, Far Eastern Railways spent about 4,5 billion roubles last year on implementing social policies. The average cost of the individual social package per worker was 30,000 roubles, while that of pensioners not in employment was nearly 7,000 roubles.

The average monthly wage on freight services during the year was 24,200 roubles, up 18% on the level in 2006.
