OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 March 2008 was announced, that another specialty has recently appeared on the shelves of OKKO filling stations’ shops – a CD called “Music to Travel With”.

The CD “Music to Travel With” was released as a response to the growing demand among our customers and has become one of the few license music collections released in Ukraine. The project was implemented with the participation of the leading Lviv radio station “RadioMan”. 14 pop hits that are currently at the top of ratings were selected for the CD. As usual these ratings are restricted information, but our cooperation with the radio station provided access to it and allowed us to select tracks for the CD in a professional way.

The CD will be available starting from mid-February in the shops of OKKO network only. The number of copies produced is 5000. Each CD has a little bonus – an original mat for a beer mug, a tea or a coffee cup, a thing that can always be used at home or at work.

Why did OKKO release its own CD? First of all, it is not a commercial project. The retail price of this CD is 24 hryvnias and, taking into account costs of the copyright, recording in the recording studio and graphic design, the CD is only going to pay back its own cost. Meanwhile the project is aimed at out trade mark being with the customer not only when they drive in at the filling station, but all the time they are at the wheel. Its main purpose is to ensure the driver is in good humour. “It is now difficult to say whether a new party of the CD will be produced. It depends on how popular this one is, - says Oles Kucherenko, the Chief of Innovation Projects Section at "Concern “Galnaftogas”, - however, the first results of the sale are quite positive. Unfortunately, Ukrainian market does not offer a wide range of good music collections today, though music of such a kind is liked by and popular with car drivers. Thus, we had analyzed this demand of our customers’ and decided to satisfy it. We aim at developing this project further, and not only with pop music, but also with jazz, pop jazz and rock. We are going to take into account car drivers’ tastes in the first place. We have a couple of interesting ideas for now and if we succeed in implementing them, the release of such collections under OKKO TM may become a good tradition”.
