OREANDA-NEWS. March 6, 2008. The press service of the Governor of Chelyabinsk region reports that 1.350bln RUR has been allocated for the construction and repair of local roads in 2008.

The greater part of the money will be spent on the construction of roads in Novosumlumovo, a new residential area built for the people living in Muslumovo, a village that suffered from a defense project in the 1950s and is now subject to resettlement.

It is the second year that the regional authorities have provided such a big support to local cities and villages. Poor roads are one of the key problems of local villages. So, this assistance is very timely.

This year the regional authorities are planning to construct and restore 167 facilities.
