OREANDA-NEWS. March 7, 2008. In January-February all terminals of National Container Company (NCC) demonstrated stable throughput growth. The aggregated throughput in January-February, 2008 amounted to 270,849 TEU which is an increase of 24.5% compared to January-February, 2007. The container growth at NCC terminals was due to strong organic growth from existing customers and the benefit of the new development program implemented at the terminals.

The throughput of First Container Terminal (FCT, St.Petersburg) in January-February, 2008 came to 165,337 TEU which exceeds the results of the first two months of 2007 by more than 22%. In February FCT handled 84,241 TEU, which is an increase of 24.5% compared to February, 2007.

The throughput of NUTEP (Novorossiysk) in January-February, 2008 increased by 26.6% compared to the first two months of 2007 and reached 23 495 TEU. In February NUTEP handled 12 213 TEU, which is an increase of 40.5% compared to February, 2007.

The throughput of Ukrtranscontainer (UTC, Illichivsk, Ukraine) in January-February, 2008 increased by 29.4% compared the first two months of 2007 and amounted 82,017 TEU. In February UTC handled 44,984 TEU, which is an increase of 50% compared to February, 2007.
