OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2008. President Toomas Hendrik Ilves flew to Strasbourg today, where he will have several high-level meetings.

The Estonian Head of State will deliver a speech to the plenary assembly of the European Parliament tomorrow, speaking about the future challenges of the European Union, and focusing on topics that will be important for the Community in ten years, when Estonia take over the EU Presidency.

In Strasbourg, President Ilves will meet with Hans-Gert Pцttering, President of the European Parliament , as well as Josй Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.

The Estonian Head of State will organize a reception for the European Parliament delegates and the Estonians working in Strasbourg.

President Ilves will arrive back in Estonia late on March 12th.
