OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 March 2008 was announced, that Raiffeisen Leasing Aval reached a leasing market share of nearly 14 per cent in Ukraine at the end of 2007. In its first full year of operation, Raiffeisen Leasing Aval succeeded in increasing its balance-sheet total significantly to 99 million euros.

In 2007, Raiffeisen Leasing Aval financed 1,274 contracts worth 114 million euros. In addition, close long-term collaborations with 250 suppliers and 260 clients have been established.

Raiffeisen Leasing Aval services all types of legal entities — small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large domestic industrial groups. At the end of 2007, the company's leasing assets included construction machines (39 per cent), agricultural equipment (24 per cent), lorries and trailers (18 per cent), cars and passenger transport (4 per cent) and other process and transport equipment (15 per cent).

Agricultural and construction machines, as well as transport still remain strategically important, considering their share in the Ukrainian economy, the necessity of their updating (the depreciation of fixed capital in the branches reached 60 per cent and 80 per cent, respectively) and the current construction boom. Raiffeisen Leasing Aval operates via its central office in Kiev and its branches in the largest Ukrainian cities. At the end of 2007 the leasing company owned five representative offices in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odessa.

By the end of 2007, the company had 75 employees, compared with only 17 at the end of 2006 .

"The main goal of Raiffeisen Leasing Aval is to remain in the leading position on the Ukrainian leasing market and to increase the market share in 2008 by offering competitive products and minimizing time for registration and services", Peter Oberauer, general manager of the company noted.
