OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 March 2008 was announced, that JSC "Concern Stirol" in January-February 2008 has increased sales in terms of money by 41,7% comparing to January-February 2007 to 824 mln. 499 thousands gryvnas.

In particular, the company during 2 months 2008 has increased ammonia sales by 35,1% (210 mln. 751 thousands grvs.), urea – by 45,9% (174 mln. 981 thousands grvs.), granulated ammonium nitrate by 63,2% (106 mln. 146 thousands grvs.), sodium nitrate by 73,7% (3 mln. 734 thousands grvs.), sodium nitrite by 293,9% (4 mln. 352 thousands grvs.), sulphuric acid by 321,2% (9 mln. 652 thousands grvs.), pharmaceutical products by 24,0% (12 mln. 166 thousands grvs.), polystyrenes by 12,1% (52 mln. 642 thousands grvs.), packing materials by 10,7% (4 mln. 835 thousands grvs.). It was sold also urea-ammonia solutions on the sum of 40 mln. 462 thousands grvs. (There was no sales in January-February 2007).

The Company during January-February has increased production of ammonia by 4,6% to 260 218 tones, urea by 16,0% to 158 423 tones, granulated ammonium nitrate by 13,5% to 103 253 tones, sodium nitrate by 59,6% to 3035 tones, sodium nitrite by 30,1% to 2 243 tones. During January-February 2008 it was increased also production of sulphuric acid (+ 98,6%) to 39379 tones, polystyrenes (+ 16,1%) to 7334 tones, pharmaceutical products (+43,8%) to 182 964 thousands items, paints (+113,2%) to 179,9 tones, packing materials (+21,5%) to 85 533 thousands items.

During reported period the Company increased generation of its own electric power by 47,7% from 19 mln. 818 thousands kWt-hour (January-February 2007) to 29 mln. 266 thousands kWt-h (January-February 2008). During these two months it has been produced 31 250 t of urea-ammonia solutions (they were not produced during corresponding period of 2007).

During January-February 2008 the Company has increased export volumes by 46,6%, including ammonia by 35,1%, urea by 45,9%, ammonium nitrate by 26,8%, sodium nitrate by 126,8%, amino resins by 8,9%. Sodium nitrite export increased more than 4 times (442,6% comparing to January-February 2007).

Labour productivity for production group "Stirol" increased by 41,6% and amounted \\$ 145 576 per person.
