OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2008 was announced, that JSC “The Seventh Continent” February 2008 trade sales increased 32% YoY. The growth in sales in the hypermarket format for February 2008 reached 56% and the growth in regional sales reached 69% YoY.

JSC “The Seventh Continent” (further referred to as the Company) February 2008 trade sales increased 32% YoY. The growth in sales in the hypermarket format for February 2008 reached 56% and the growth in regional sales reached 69% YoY.

Based on management accounts the Company’s February2008 gross retail sales [1]increased 32% and reached USD 136 mn.

As of the end of February 2008 the Company managed 131 stores, including 123 supermarkets and 8 hypermarkets.

As of the end of February 2008 the selling space of the Company’s stores under the brands “The Seventh Continent” (supermarkets), “Nash Hypermarket” (“Our Hypermarket”) and “Prostore” accounts for 159,3 th. sq. m. and increased 17% compared with the same period of 2007.

In February 2008 the Company opened 3 new stores: 2 stores, in the hypermarket format “Nash hypermarket” (Our hypermarket), one is located in Moscow (the following address: Orekhoviy boulevard 22A.) and the other one is located in Yaroslavl (the following address: Moscovskiy prospect 108). Two opened hypermarkets are owned by the Company. Also, new supermarket in the “Seventh Continent – Gastronomia” format was opened in Moscow historical centre at the following address: Korobeinikov street-side, building 1. Total selling space of 3 opened stores is 10,9 th. sq. m.
