OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2008. JSC Novosibirsk Metallurgical Plant named after Kuzmin (NMP, ESTAR Group) plans to assign over 15 mln rubles to expand the range of pipe products used in construction and public utilities, according to the company’s press service. “In the near future the plant plans to develop the production of electric welded pipes with the diameter of 127 mm, square pipes 100*100 mm and, before the end of the year, rectangular pipes 120*80 mm”, according to the message.

It is planned that the new NMP products will comply with all the state GOST-13663 and GOST-10705 standards and will possess high quality characteristics due to the upgrade of current production and introduction of new technology. “The plant’s professionals managed to upgrade the operating two-high sizing stands to four-high stands that allow higher quality of shaped pipes", notes the press service.

A trial production run (about 200 tons) will be produced in April.

NMP named after Kuzmin produces sheet roll and c/r steel and alloy band as well as a wide range of electric welded and cold-worked pipes.
