OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2008. This is the outcome of negotiations held between the management of Kaliningrad Railways and Polish Railways (PKP). The Polish side was represented by the management of PKP Cargo S.A.

The sides discussed cooperation on freight trains passing through the border crossings Mamonovo - Braniewo and Zheleznodorozhnaya - Skandava, and the possibility of border stations increasing their through capacity.

As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to increase the daily exchange of trains from 2 pairs to 3, thus increasing the number of wagons passing the border each day from 100 to 150.

On March 18, in continuation of the agreements reached, a working meeting was held at Mamonovo station between specialists from Kaliningrad Railways and Polish Railways, during which issues were discussed regarding the coordination and planning of railway traffic across the border crossings at Mamonovo - Braniewo and Zheleznodorozhnaya – Skandava.
