OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 March 2008 was announced, that on October 8 to 12, 2008, the exhibition and congress complex “Inter Expo Center” in Sofia (Bulgaria) will house the Russian National Exhibition.

The Exhibition is timed to the Year of Russia in Bulgaria and is intended to highlight the business and humanitarian aspects of cooperation between the two countries and nations.

The motto of the Exhibition is “Russia and Bulgaria: new cooperation prospects”.

The Exhibition will be arranged by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The Exhibition will be operated by OAO GAO “All-Russia Exhibition Centre”.

Topics of the Exhibition: nuclear and classical power engineering, oil and gas complex, metallurgy and mechanical engineering, chemical industry, wood-working and pulp-and-paper industries, transport, light industry, agriculture and food industry, ecology, science-intensive technologies, electrical engineering, military-industrial complex, information technologies and telecommunication facilities, health care and medicine, education, tourism, banking and insurance business, traditional Russian cuisine and restaurant business, artistic crafts and souvenirs, ballet and legitimate theaters.

The Russian National Exhibition will occupy an area of 5000 sq. m.

The exposition will consist of 3 sections:

The Introductory Section “Modern Russia” will introduce the strategy and trends of Russia’s economic development, social policies, scientific, industrial and investment potential, large-scale neoindustrialization projects in Russian regions.

The Section “Innovations and High Technologies” formed by the leading sectoral ministries and departments of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rostechnology State Corporation, leading innovation centers, technoparks, innovation and research companies will present innovative, technological projects, advanced technologies, equipment, hi-tech production facilities and multipurpose complexes, industrial robots, unique solutions in information technologies, nanotechnologies in various areas, from manufacturing processes to medicine.

The Section “Made in Russia” will introduce industrial and consumer goods from Russian manufacturers that are in demand in the Bulgarian market. There the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will present specific examples of interregional cooperation aimed at establishing the economic and social infrastructure of Bulgaria, will demonstrate various forms of production and business cooperation, joint investment projects of the Russian and Bulgarian business partners, long-terms plans of small and medium-size business cooperation, humanitarian cooperation programs.

The exhibitors will comprise scientific and research institutes, research-and-production organizations, commissioning organizations from different sectors, companies and organizations making up the infrastructure of innovative activities, banks, insurance, leasing, franchising companies, financial and foreign trade corporations, higher educational institutions, theaters and artistic teams, handicraft companies, travel companies and tour operators.
The business program of the Exhibition will cover topical round tables, presentations of Russian regions involved in the Exhibition. The Exhibition is expected to be attended by heads of ministries and departments of Russia and Bulgaria, unions of industrialists and entrepreneurs, other non-government organizations and business quarters of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Exhibition will be accompanied by social events involving regional professional artistic teams, artists, craftsmen and artisans.
