OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2008. In the framework of the quality management system (QMS) operating at Engels Pipe Plant (EPP) a yearly QMS analysis was made and discussed in the course of “Quality Day” at the enterprise. EPP used different information to analyze the QMS operation over 2007, in particular: the results of internal checks, reports on process efficiency, results of quality analysis of the products, feedback from the consumers, statistic data.

According to the results of QMS analysis it was established that, as compared with 2006, the efficiency of the following projects was increased: “Human Resources Supply”, “Service and Maintenance of Technical Equipment”.
Besides, the following issues were solved in terms of quality management:
1. Increase of pipe production volume in 2007 no less than 10% on the year-on-year basis. Fact: increase of finished goods production volume by 12% in 2007.
2. Reduction of the amount of claims per ton of produced goods on the year-on-year basis by 0.1%. Fact: no claims concerning pipe products quality in 2007.
3. Confirmation of the winner title of the program “100 best Russian goods” in 1 standard size range of the produced goods.
