OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 March 2008 "COMSTAR - United TeleSystems" JSC, the leading combined telecommunications operator in Russia and the CIS, announced the launch of a new tariff structure for the local connection services provided by Tyumenneftegassvyaz ("TNGS"), Comstar's subsidiary in the Tyumen region.

Per minute, combined and unlimited tariff plans will replace the existing single tariff plan, and will be offered to residential subscribers from April 1, 2008. Corporate subscribers will be offered per minute and unlimited tariff plans.

The new tariff plans are being introduced following the upgrading of the Tyumenneftegassvyaz network and improvements to the billing system.

Vladimir Alayev, General Director of TNGS, commented: "Our subscribers will be offered a choice of tariff plans to meet their call requirements and budgets. We are pleased that almost all our customers have already made their choice. More than 80% of residential subscribers and over 95% of corporate subscribers have decided to opt for the unlimited tariff plan".

TNGS had 33,000 residential subscribers and 18,000 corporate subscribers at the end of 2007.

From April 1, the unlimited tariff plan for residential subscribers in the Tyumen region will cost RUB 250.00 per month, compared to RUB 195.00 per month in the past. The unlimited tariff plan for residential subscribers in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area will cost RUB 390.00 per month and RUB 420.00 per month, respectively, compared to RUB 275.00 per month and RUB 320.00 per month in the past. The unlimited tariff plan of RUB 390.00 per month, formerly RUB 260.00 per month, will be offered to corporate subscribers in the Tyumen region. The unlimited tariff plans for corporate subscribers in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area will amount to RUB 590.00 per month, compared to RUB 395.00 per month previously.
