OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2008. From 1 April 2008, IDGC of the North-West consolidate 7 regional grid companies

'The tariff for electric power transport for IDGC should be established by one regulatory body - Federal Tariffs Service', General Director of IDGC of the North-West Veniamin Pinkhasik considers.

'I do not know other company where the necessary total proceeds (NTP) would be formed by 7 regulatory bodies for one company', Veniamin Pinkhasik said. He called it one of the serious problems for the IDGC of the North-West incorporated company and hopes that it will be solved later.

According to Head of IDGC of the North-West if there is one regulatory body, this will quicken solving the problems of development of the regional grid complex.

'It is hard enough to come to an agreement with 7 services every time. Therefore, in my opinion, regional power committees should give priority, first of all, to the economy, and then to the policy', Veniamin Pinkhasik emphasized.

Since 1 April 2008, IDGC of the North-West becomes the incorporated company. It will join seven regional distribution companies of the northwest - Arkhenergo, Vologdaenergo, Karelenergo, Kolenergo, Komienergo, Novgorodenergo, and Pskovenergo.
