Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah of Kuwait. At the meeting the sides dwelt on developing cooperation between the two nations both in political and trade-and-economic realms.

Kazakhstan’s PM briefed his counterpart on the current political and socio-economic reforms, as well as on programs to develop high-tech and industrial sectors, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

“The Kazakh economy can offer to Kuwaiti business a wide range of metallurgic, chemical, mining and agricultural products. In our turn, we are open for Kuwaiti products and are ready to provide Kuwaiti business with favorable conditions to operate at the Kazakh market”, K. Massimov said.

Apart from that, the sides discussed investments-related ties between the two nations.

The Kazakh PM reiterated Kazakhstan’s openness for public and private investments from Kuwait to implement large-scaled strategic projects in O&G, transport, electric power industry, agriculture, construction and renovation of industrial enterprises, tourism.

The sides pointed out it was vital for their nations to ensure greater awareness of each other’s capacities and mutual economic and investments interests to fully unleash the vast potential of trade-and-economic cooperation.
