OREANDA-NEWS. April 3, 2008. Preassembly of the newly delivered coal excavation equipment was performed at the Kostromovskaya mine (under construction), which is incorporated in Belon Group.

The face complex was produced by Joy Mining Machinery, UK. Its cost is about EUR 21 mln. The complex incorporates a cutter-loader, a face conveyor, a mechanized lining, surface equipment (a loader and a crushing machine), a set of electric equipment, and a hydraulics system.

The equipment was assembled on the surface to train the specialists who are to operate and service the new complex. Workshops for the workers will be held by the British experts. The training will continue till mid-April when the equipment goes to the first working face of the mine under construction (face No. 1901).

The first coal is expected to be produced at the Kostromovskaya mine in July this year. The performance target set for the enterprise’s team is to produce at least 600,000 tons of coal by the end of the current year.

By 2010, the mine is to reach the estimated production capacity, and to arrive at the annual production of 2 mln tons of coal per year.
