OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 April 2008 was announced, that Parus residential building on Khodynskoe Pole, a prime contractor of which is SK Strategiya, a developer is Inteko, won the prize House of the Year.

In total 12 projects were nominated for the award, however, just that very project has been pronounced the winner.

“House of the Year prize is awarded to the best project considering not only its artistic features but also the quality of its implementation. Therefore the prize is presented not only to architects but builders embodied the project as well. The prize-winner is Boris Uborevich-Borovsky, architect of Parus project, and Andrey Sharov, general director of SK Strategiya included in CJSC Inteko,” a press release said.

According to the architect, the main motif of the building is crookedness that adds “a man-made element” to the modern architecture. The creators gave a special consideration to a city planning aspect of the project. It was projected as a part of Grand Park residential neighbourhood and it is a dominant in the development area of the district. There are offices on two lower floors of the five-section residential complex, the flats with the total area of 29,000 square metres are located on the basic residential floors. There is also a two-level car park for 262 parking spaces in the building.

House of the Year is a joint project of Drugaya Moskva [The Other Moscow] site and Made in Future journal. The best building is identified due to the vote in internet. The buildings to nominate for the prize are selected from all buildings erected in Moscow over a year.
