OREANDA-NEWS. April 9, 2008. During a meeting with President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves today, President of France Nicolas Sarkozy said that his country was ready to help Estonia to develop nuclear power industry.

“Estonia is presently considering the future of its energy sector and the President of France has offered President Ilves cooperation in the field of nuclear power engineering,” says a representative of the Estonian delegation.
 
Sarkozy said that nuclear energy was a correct response to the question of energy security and independence and an effective way to fight global heating. He pointed out that France had big achievements in the sphere.
