OREANDA-NEWS. SibCOTES took part in the international energy forum held in Zlatibor (Serbia) on March 25-28, 2008. The Forum covered a number of important issues, such as the need in privatization for Serbian power industry, fuel shortage, and the possibilities to use renewable energy sources. Many presentations emphasized the need in cooperation with Russia as a key gas supplier, partner in construction of a gas pipeline “Yuzhniy Potok” and a contractor for a number of future projects for the construction and reconstruction of power facilities.       

Russian company SibCOTES is well-known at many power plants within the former Yugoslavia. The exhibition booth of the Company also aroused great interest among some new potential Clients. During the exhibition, SibCOTES’ representatives – Dmitry Seleznev and Lev Ginzburg - had some negotiations, which may lead to new feasible projects. 

Today, SibCOTES is carrying out tests at Pljevlja Power Plant (Republic of Montenegro) to find the possibility to increase the capacity of a 200 MW power unit. At the same time, ignition system and flame control system based on Tornado DCS are being installed at Pljevlja Power Plant. In the coming months, specialists from SibCOTES will start commissioning of boiler, turbine and electrical equipment at TPP Kostolac-A (Serbia).
