OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2008 was announced, that “Small-size transformer plant” (MGT) in 2007 increased its sales volume up to 44 million hryvnias. In 2006 it amounted to 31 million hryvnias. Thus the growth of the volume of sales during the last year was 42%. According to Alina Zima, Director General of MGT the growth of sales was caused by the increased demand. The export production constitutes an important part of sales as before. In 2007 69% from the total volume of the production sold were exported. The main importers are Russia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Latvia, and Georgia, Moldova and Lithuania as well.

The quantity of the transformers dispatched in 2007 is 1622 pieces with total power of 553 thousand kVA (against 1377 pieces / 399 thousand kVA in 2006).

Note: “Small-size Transformer Plant” (MGT) was founded in 1991 and today is a manufacturer of power distribution transformers of I and II dimensions with capacity up to 1000 kVA.

Since 2001 the plant is a member of "Energy Standard" Group. "Energy Standard" is the leading energy machine-building association of the Ukraine.
