OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2008. Ukraine and Romania will continue negotiations on regulation of completing construction of the Kryvyi Rih Oxidized Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise (Kirovohrad region, Central Ukraine) no later than on the first decade of June 2008 in Kyiv, the Industrial Policy Ministry press service informed.

Romania will present an official position on a new draft intergovernmental protocol proposed by Ukraine. The parties decided also to carry out consultations at the level of experts for checking data on Romania's expenses related to construction of the enterprise.

A governmental delegation headed by Deputy Industrial Policy Minister Serhiy Hryshchenko held negotiations in Bucharest on the Kryvyi Rih enterprise.

Kryvyi Rih Oxidized Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise remains a long-lasting construction. Ukraine constructed 56,4 percent of the planned production capacity, Romania - 28 percent, Slovakia – 15,6 percent. The construction project makes up USD 2,4 billion, of which USD 1.65 billion was mastered.

Slovakia and Romania refused from participation in the project of completing construction of the enterprise, but they would like to receive compensations.
