OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 April 2008 was announced, that the World Furniture Confederation has officially acknowledged Russia’s claims to host the World Furniture Congress. The Congress will come about on November 9-10, 2009 in Moscow. The Congress is organized by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia; general partners of the event are the Crocus Expo exhibition centre and MVK International Exhibition Company.

The Congress will be attended by the representatives of the Legislative Assembly of the Russian Federation, Government of Russia, regional government authorities, financial structures, NGO’s and scientific associations.

Participation of the prominent furniture associations and companies from abroad will provide maximum opportunities for studying the progress trends, common problems, present state of the furniture market and methods for achieving the economic success and prosperity.

The framework of the Congress will include the presentations of the Russian companies’ investment projects and provide the opportunities for business interaction with the overseas partners. The Russian furniture manufacturers will be able to present their products to the world furniture community and find its own level at the international furniture market.

The first Congress presentation will come about on May 15, 2008 at the Expoeurofurniture exhibition, the main furniture forum of Russia. On the Day of Trade and Promotion the visitors will get to know more about the coming event and terms of possible participation. The double exhibition of Euroexpofurniture and Interkomplekt will demonstrate the products of over 1000 Russian and foreign furniture companies. 

Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, Crocus expo exhibition centre and MVK International Exhibition Company are looking forward to seeing the Russian furniture, consumables and accessories manufacturers, distributors and trade press at the official Congress presentation on May 15, 2008.

The presentation will take place at conference hall A, pavilion 2 of the Crocus Expo exhibition centre.
