OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22-24, 2008 SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority will participate in a joint stand together with port companies in XIII International transport and logistics exhibition and conference „TRANSRUSSIA 2008“in Mosccow (Russia), reported the press-centre of Klaipeda port.
 
For the XIII time already there is being organized annual Russian transport exhibition „TransRussia“ and it remains the most important and biggest transport event in the East, because there are created good possibilities to make contacts with potential cargo owners and forwarding and transportation companies, meet the present clients and directly discuss and find out about the changes and tendencies in this field. This year there participate more than 450 companies from 25 countries of the world. 
 
In the joint exposition representing Lithuanian transport system with the area of 135 m2, 16 Lithuanian transport companies will present their services. The head of Lithuanian delegation is Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Ceslovas Siksnelis. There will also participate Adviser to the Minister of Transport and Communications Darius Jarmantavicius.
 
For nine years already Klaipeda stevedoring companies, ship agents, forwarding ans chartering companies will participate in a joint standi n the exhibition TransRussi. The area of exposition of Klaipeda port is 69 m2. Record number of Klaipeda port companies – even 12 companies – will take part in the exhibition this year: SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority, AB „Klaipedos juru kroviniu kompanija“ (KLASCO), UAB KJKK „Bega“, LKAB „Klaipedos Smelte“, AB „Klaipedos nafta“, UAB „Klaipedos terminalo grupe“, UAB „Vakaru krova“, UAB „Arijus“, UAB „Baltijos pervezimai“, UAB „BPA“, UAB „Limarko juru agentura“ and UAB „Navalio juru agentura“. In a joint Lithuanian stand there will also participate AB „Lietuvos gelezinkeliai“, Lithuanian national road carriers association LINAVA, UAB „GLP“ and UAB „Girteka“.
 
The interest of Klaipeda stevedoring companies in Russian market again increases as the cargo flows via Klaipeda port increases too: in 2006 – 1,3 million tons of Russian cargo, in 2007  - 3,1 million tons. It is anticipated that in 2008 even bigger volumes of Russian cargo will be transported via Klaipeda due to increase in tariffs of local railways and great congestion of Russian ports.
 
The speakers at the conference „TransRussia 2008“ will be the representatives of Russian Ministry of Transport, railways, biggest shipping companies, cargo owners and forwarding companies. At this event the report will also be made by Director for Marketing of SE KSSA Atruras Drungilas „Inter-modal transportations via Klaipeda port. Transportation Potential and Directions“. 
 
SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority will be represented at the event by Director for Marketing Arturas Drungilas, head of the port representative Office in the Republic of Belarus Arturas Gaidauskas and Deputy Head of Marketing Department Silvija Jonkuviene.
