OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2008. In May-June 2008, Euro commission will allocate to Moldova the second tranche of macro-financial aid in the amount of 10 million euros.

As the press-service of the Ministry of Finance has informed, this was discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Finance Mariana Durlesteanu with the head of EC delegation in Moldova Cezare de Montis, the head of economic policy department Paolo Berizzi and the head of EC transactions department in Moldova Martin Kaspar.

As it was noted, the first tranche of 20 million euros was allocated to Moldova last year, and the third- 15 million euros can be provided after accomplishment of the requirements fixed in the matrix of conditions on macro financial assistance. The total amount of macro financial aid of EC to Moldova will make 45 million euros.

Means will be provided in the form of free aid to the budget. As it was informed before, the Ministerial council of European Union has made a decision to provide Moldova with the financial assistance of 45 million euros for maintenance of the payment balance and implementation of the governmental program of reforms.
