OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2008. The National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU) and the German Space Agency (DLR) initialed a framework agreement on cooperation, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

At the preceding talks the Ukrainian party was presented by NSAU Director General Yuriy Alekseyev, and the German party - by DLR Director Ludwig Baumgarten.

It is expected that the framework agreement will be signed in May at the International Aerospace Exhibition in Berlin.

Among the main trends of cooperation that the parties agreed upon there were monitoring of the land surface using Ukrainian satellites of the Sich series, joint participation in creation of a new Land remote sensing satellite, a possibility of including the Yevpatoria Space Flight Control Center (South Ukraine) into the part of the control system of the German satellite Terra SAR-X.
