OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 April 2008 Central Telegraph announced the appointment of Andrey Vladimirovich Agayev as general director of Centel.

Andrey Vladimirovich Agayev was born on July 4, 1974 in the town of Osh (the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic). He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1997 and obtained a Ph.D. degree at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 2000.

He held various positions at the companies that make up Comstar-UTS Group in 1997-2007. From 2006 to 2007 he acted as deputy general director and director for customer service at Comstar Direct (Stream brand). SinceMarch2008 he hasbeenCentel’sCEO.

As Centel CEO Andrey Vladimirovich will be in charge of measures aimed at boosting the company’s earnings from the promotion on the market, product and service sales under the QWERTY brand for households and corporate clients and ensure that technical support for customers is of high quality. He will oversee activities to further construct and increase the capacity of the QWERTY network in the Russian capital, as well as expansion in the Moscow suburbs.

Commenting on his appointment, Agayev pointed out that “undoubtedly, Central Telegraph Group (the QWERTY brand) is currently one of the leaders on the BI market and an advanced client-driven telecom operator. I hope that my professional experience and knowledge of the market will help the company maintain and fast-track growth rates that the company has achieved in recent years.
