OREANDA-NEWS. May 6, 2008. A competition of children’s drawings, carrying the title Orange Sun and organized by Bank Electronika, got its start in six regions of Russia during April. The congress is open to children ages four through twelve in Kaluga, Kursk, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Belgorod.

For Russia’s small fry, this year’s particularly warm and sunny spring days are just a little brighter and more imaginative: the children’s Orange Sun drawing competition gives each young artist the opportunity to unleash his or her creative potential. Grown-ups may once again glance at the world around them through the eyes of a child, see their hometowns and the future of our country as the next generation envisions it.

Works by young artists will be accepted through May 24, 2008. All of them will be exhibited in personal services offices of Bank Electronika in the six Russian cities. Ceremonies of award for winners of the competition will take place on May 29 through May 31, 2008. There will be three award places in two age categories – four through seven and eight through twelve. In addition, one contestant in each age group will receive an award for the most unusual drawing. Commemorative certificates and prizes, without doubt, will please the young Russians. All competitors, without exception, will receive souvenirs.

Results of the contest and names of the winners with be published on the Internet sites www.elektronika.ru and www.bank2u.ru. A copy of the best works will be hung in the hall of the personal services office of Bank Electronika in each regional city where the competitions go on.

All types of painting and graphics prepared in A3 or A4 format are eligible for inclusion in the competition.
