Chairman of Eurasian Bank JSC, Alexander Konopasevich, announced final results of the Bank activities in 2007.

Eurasian Bank is one of the dynamically developing financial institutions of the Kazakhstan banking system, which is acknowledged the perspective leader not only in CIS countries, but in the Eastern Europe. Established in 1994, the bank gained the reputation of stable and reliable financial institutions. It is the part of 10 best banks of Kazakhstan and according to data of magazine The Banker the bank is among 50 the most rapidly developing banks of countries with the transition economy according to EBRD classification.

The bank's net income in 2007 made up KZT2,5 bn.

The bank's assets make up KZT183,8 bn., having increased by 21,28% or by KZT32,2 bn.

The bank's authorized capital makes up KZT8 bn.

The bank's equity capital makes up KZT28,6 bn.

The bank's loan portfolio in 2007 increased from KZT93,7 bn. to KZT126 bn., out of them legal entities loans - KZT76,4 bn., physical persons - KZT49,6 bn.

In 2007 the bank introduced the new crediting programs, such as auto crediting "Master of wheels" and express crediting Eurasian express.

Master of wheels showed itself on the market as the product with flexible conditions of loan provision and quick making decision on the loan issue. For eighth months of the program, functioning were issued more than 1 500 loans to the total amount of KZT2,55 bn.

Under the Eurasian express on crediting of the population were processed more than 30 applications and issued more than 12 th. loans to the total amount of KZT2,46 bn.

The deposit base volume (considering current accounts) as of the end of 2007 made up KZT88,95 bn., having increased in a year by 16,7% - KZT12,73 bn. Given this, the volume of physical persons deposits reached KZT19,52 bn., and legal entities - KZT69,43 bn.

In April 2007, the bank signed the Credit Agreement (Schuldscheindarlehen) to the amount of USD25 m. for one year. The initiator of this deal was Landesbank Berlin AG. Jointly with the initiator in the deal participated 12 investors from Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal, Russia and Slovenia.

In September 2007, the bank borrowed syndicated loan to the amount of USD51,5 m for one year. The organizers of the deal were Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch e Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG. In addition to organizers in the deal participated 8 creditors. The successful completion of the deal proves that despite the market volatility and certain degree of caution of international credit institutions, banks-partners were confident in the bank. This is proved by the number of banks-participants of the syndicate and the decrease of the credit interest rate.

On December 24, 2007, Eurasian Bank repaid USD70 m. For tranche "A" (370 days) of the syndicated loan, borrowed in December 2006. This loan to the total amount of USD110 m. With the tranches structure of 370 days and 2 years was provided to the Bank by the syndicate of foreign banks. The leading organizers of the deal were Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch e Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG. The successful execution by Eurasian Bank of its obligations to the foreign creditors in the full volume and during the set period proved the sufficient level of the bank's liquidity and reliability.

In September 2007, Eurasian Bank introduced new services on payment cards - SMS notification and transfers through the bank cash dispensers, and renewable express-credit without the pledge and giving the client a possibility to use the repaid amount. This credit is issued at receiving of the payment card Cash U and convenient because at repayment of the debt the accessible amount on the card increases. The number of issued credit cards Cash U as of the end of 2007 made up 352 cards to the total amount overKZT44,9 m.

As of January 1, 2008, the number of issued payment cards made up 53 143 units, that is 5 times higher than the same indicator of January 1, 2007. The majority of issued payment cards are salary cards for employees of such large enterprises as SSGPO JSC, EEK JSC, Kazchrome JSC, Shubarkol komir JSC and other companies.

In 2007, the bank significantly increased the network of servicing of payment cards in various regions of Kazakhstan. Thus, at present there are functioning 66 cash dispensers, in cash desks of the bank are installed 42 devises for receiving cash, and in trading points - 45 POS-terminals. In 2008 the bank is planning to additionally install 48 cash dispensers.

At the end of 2007, Fund of Small Entrepreneurship Development JSC (in December 2007 was reorganized into Fund of Entrepreneurship Development DAMU") under the Program of conditioned placement of resources through the second level banks allocated to Eurasian Bank KZT3,05 bn. Out of resources, allocated by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for support of development of SMB of Kazakhstan. It is planned to finance projects of various economic sectors that will allow for entrepreneurs to strengthen their positions on the market and extend the business.

During 2007, the Bank will implement the program on development of its affiliates network. As of December 31, 2007 the bank is represented in all large cities of Kazakhstan by 18 affiliates and 40 subdivisions.
