OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 May 2008 was announced, that the housing with the area of 225,000 square metres is to be built in Cheryomushki urban district, southwest Moscow, by 2012.

According to a source from City Hall, the relevant order was signed by Moscow City Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

“Among the top priority measures of the realization of the project of planning neighbourhood 33-34 in Cheryomushki during 2008-2012 is the construction of the residential blocks of flats with the total area of flats equalled 225,000 square metres,” the source said.

The flats with the total area of 115,680 square metres will be allocated for moving the residents from the houses set to be demolished. The plan for 2008-2012 includes the demolition of dwelling houses with the total area of 78,100 square metres.

“A preschool institution for 120 children, retail outlets, public catering establishments, public service establishments, a public assistance centre for families and children, a social rehabilitation and leisure centre for disabled people and other objects are to be built within the development of consumers services in the neighbourhood by 2012,” the source noted.

The underground garages and aboveground-underground car parks with the total capacity of 2,430 parking spaces are also planned to be built in the neighbourhood by 2012.
