OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2008. The development of the first stage of “Azov City” gaming zone (Scherbinovski district, Krasnodar region) within the area of 100 hectares will start in August, according to the press release of the Krasnodar regional administration`s press service.

“By that time all project works should have been completed,” the press service quotes the words of the regional Senior Vice Governor Alexander Remezkov. By July 1st, 2009, the investors developing first casinos and hotels in Scherbinovski district will get over 2 MVt of electrical power, 1.5 million kl of water, 8 million kl of gas.

At the presentation of Krasnodar region in Vienna, an investment agreement was made with Austrian “ASATI Gmbh”, on construction of 100 sqm of venues for casinos and other gambling facilities within the area of 20 hectares. The investor warrants that the properties will have been put into operation by July 1st, 2009.

According to the press release, construction of smaller airports for business aviation is planned in the region. There are negotiations with the companies able to arrange regular flights to Yeisk from Moscow and Krasnodar as well as operations of air and sea taxis.
