OREANDA-NEWS. On May 14 a gas-filling station Belorusneft-Svisloch GAS will be solemnly commissioned in Kobylniki (Grodno oblast), which is not far from the Belarusian-Polish border.

According to the project the station will be able to transfer up to 500 tonnes of liquefied gas daily, thrice as much as the existing refilling station. It will allow boosting labour productiveness of the personnel and opportunities to supply Belorusneft’s liquefied gas to Europe.

Apart from that, the new facility will improve gas provision to western areas of Belarus and will provide hydrocarbon stock transhipment to other suppliers. The station will receive natural gas in railway tanks, store it in reservoirs and then ship it in railway tanks and tank trucks. The facility has seven underground reservoirs as large as 200 cubic metres each.

The first pilot batch of Belarusian liquefied gas was exported to Poland in September 2006. At present gas-filling station Belorusneft-Svisloch GAS will be able to transfer up to 15,000 tonnes of liquefied gas monthly. Initially the transfer capacity will make 9.5-10 thousand tonnes.
