OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2008. The Bank of Moscow offered its sponsorship to the Fourth “Karelia’s Beliye Nochi” (Twilight all Nights) International Festival of the Arts that is being held in the Republic of Karelia from May 12 to June 12, 2008.

The “Beliye Nochi” Festival brings together in Karelia renowned musicians from Russia and other countries. Unique concerts have been scheduled to take place in the Republic’s cities and towns including performances by the Moscow Soloists Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet, the St. Petersburg Chorus under the direction of Vladislav Chernushenko, a concert adaptation of the opera Tosca to be performed by solo singers from the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres and other events.

“It is in The Bank of Moscow’s good tradition to sponsor cultural events,” Deputy Director of the BoM’s Petrozavodski Subsidiary Larisa Firsova said in a statement. “To continue that tradition, the Petrozavodski Subsidiary sponsored the holding of the Fourth “ Karelia’s Beliye Nochi” International Festival,” she added.

Supporting such events is the priority focus in BoM’s cultural and educating activities. Each year numerous exhibitions, concerts and festivals are held in Russian regions with the participation of The Bank of Moscow. The Bank is involved in the “Theatres for Children of Beslan” charitable programme. Sponsorship of the Bolshoi Theatre’s cultural seasons is the Bank’s another major cultural project. Also, the Bank has been rendering assistance to the artistic crew of the Et Cetera Theatre.
