OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 May 2008 was announced, that representatives of Group of companies COMSTAR-United TeleSystems took an active part in the forth annual operators’ business forum Multiplay-2008, which has taken place in Moscow. 

Traditionally, operators’ forum Multiplay is one of the key events organized by specialized magazine Broadcasting and Cable TV association of Russia for the participants of the broadband network and cable TV market.

Within the frames of the forum Yevgeny Abramov, Sales Director of CJSC COMSTAR-Direct – which comprises COMSTAR-UTS Group, the largest supplier of broadband Internet access services – gave a master-class “HDTV. Myths and reality”. He told about the first results of the pilot project related to the launch of HDTV services in Moscow, COMSTAR-Direct will start commercial operation of the service in summer 2008; he gave his colleagues the benefit of his experience in solving problems related to technical, legal and marketing peculiarities of HDTV provision process, and also he highlighted the main trends of the market development in Russia.

At one of the round-tables of the forum devoted to the discussion of peculiarities of business relations between telecom operators and management companies in the sphere of real estate, Andrei Kuzlyaev, head of the section for work with commercial real estate and elite housing, JSC COMSTAR-UTS told about his experience in the work with residential property and operator’s achievements on the market of telecommunication services provision for residential complexes, at the same time he outlined main tenant builder-partners of the company. He devoted the part of his report to interaction with investors and tenant builders at the stage of a building construction and also with housing cooperative and management company at the stage of upkeep of buildings and subscribers service taking into account current legislation of the RF.

Representatives of operators’ companies, content-providers, tenant builders, management companies and leading experts of the market spoke at the forum about up-to-date issues related to implementation of modern multimedia services: IPTV, HDTV, cable and mobile TV. In addition to that such themes as investment in perspective digital technologies and services, opportunities of advertisement on paid TV-channels were considered at the forum.
