OREANDA-NEWS. On May 16, 2008 Association of Russian Banks together with the Russian Bank for Development has conducted a panel discussion “Banks and Small and Medium-Sized Loan Support in the Volgograd Oblast”, reported the press-centre of RBD.
 
The SME Loan Support Program of the Russian Bank for Development was presented by Nadezhda Martynova, Executive Vice Chairman of the Managing Board. Speaking about the Bank’s practices and perspectives in the above area she said that within the framework of the growth policy of the State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” for the period till 2012 the Russian Bank for Development provides SME loan support according to the two-tier lending procedure. At that the priority is given to SME infrastructure projects as well as to industrial enterprises and companies implementing innovative and hi-tech projects.
 
In the course of the event N. Martynova had talks with representatives of micro-finance organizations and credit unions of the Volgograd Oblast dealing with introduction of new forms of cooperation in the area of SME lending.
 
Representatives from the Volgograd Oblast Administration, Chief Administration of the Bank of Russia in the Volgograd Oblast, CEOs of regional banks and local branches, public organizations involved in SME support took part in the panel discussion.
