OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 May 2008 was announced, that the MGIMO University welcomed the evening of Slavic music and writing “Kaleidoscope of cultures: when a dialogue gives birth to unity” organized by the MGIMO Graduates association jointly with MVK and the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

The solemn evening featured a number of unusual events. The presentation was opened by the Vice-Principal on manpower policy of MGIMO Valery Vorobiev, the author and host of the Umniki i umnitsy (Brainiacs and wise heads) Yuriy Vyazemsky and the Director General of MVK, head of the International Calligraphic Exhibition greeted the guests and opened the amazing program.

The guests – intelligentsia, government authorities and the art elite of Russia got acquainted with the exposition of the calligraphic exhibition which is going to be held from September 16 to 21 in St.Petersburg. They also enjoyed a fantastic laser show.

Accompanied by the amazing quintet of contrabasses of the Russian National Orchestra the most famous calligraphers of Russian and Belarus gave master-classes. Petr Chobitko, Pavel Semchenko and Nikolay Taranov demonstrated their skills and gave lots of interviews. A special guest of the presentation master Chang Wang-Fu was a centre of the exhibition – he showed his unique skill of writing calligraphy.
