OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 May 2008 was announced, that EvroSibEnergo Company plans to open a branch in Irkutsk. The general director of the company Sergey Emdin reported this at a briefing on Friday. The task of the branch will be co-ordination of all functions of the company business on the territory of the region, avoiding their duplication, and also forming of a uniform position of the company.

S.Emdin emphasized that the importance of the Irkutsk area for EvroSibEnergo after its incorporating with Vostsibugol Company grows (transaction on the company assets purchase was completed at the end of April). The technological chain is actually closed. In the further, growth the company will be focused on its own growth and qualitative improvement of technological processes rather than on purchase of other enterprises, realization of interconnected investment program of Irkutskenergo and Vostsibugol development programs.

Irkutskenergo and Vostsibugol are the largest assets of EvroSibEnergo Company in the Irkutsk area. There is also "EvroSibEnergo-Engineering" Company in the region which is an engineering company. According to S. Emdin, it should become the general contractor capable to build new capacities.

EvroSibEnergo was established in 2001. It is a part of En + Group. The company operates the largest power enterprises of Russia; the total installed capacity is from above 20 million kW. It serves more than 5 million consumers. EvroSibEnergo manages Volgaenergo group of companies, large share holdings of JSC Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station, JSC Irkutskenergo, and other Russian power companies.
