State commission for conducting tenders on the sale of the state property to the foreign investors announced on prolongation of the deadline for receiving Bids till June 24, 2008 of the previously announced tenders for sale of HC “Markaziy”, 47% shares packages of JSC “Kokand spirits” and 51% shares packages of JSC “Uzbekiston shampani”, reported the press-centre of State commission for conducting tenders.

Hotel Complex "Markaziy" (former "SHeraton" Hotel). Starting bidding price for the Complex is USD 40 183 300 (forty million one hundred eighty three thousand three hundred). The volume of investment obligation is USD 25 292 400 (twenty five million two hundred ninety two thousand four hundred).

Hotel complex "Markaziy" is situated in the center of Tashkent city. Hotel was placed into operation in 1999, provides wide range of hotel and tourist services. Hotel building includes 16 floors and basements. Hotel consists of 251 rooms, as well as two restaurants, two bars, fitness center, meeting and conference rooms.    
 
47% shares packages of JSC "Kokand spirits" with starting bidding price not less than USD 8 159 000 (eight million one hundred fifty nine thousand) and investments requirements USD 3 000 000 (three million).

JSC "Kokand spirits" is situated in Kokand city, Fergana region. The enterprise was constructed in 1983 with orientation to produce mineral fertilizers. Since 1991, the enterprise has changed its type of activity and has been producing ethyl alcohol. Production capacity of the enterprise is 2,4 million decalitres per year. Presently it is the largest producer of ethyl alcohol in Uzbekistan. 

51% shares packages of JSC "Uzbekiston shampani" with starting bidding price not less than USD 2 318 000 (two million three hundred eighteen thousand) and investments obligations USD 1 200 000 (one million two hundred thousand).

JSC "Uzbekiston shampani" is situated in Tashkent city and was established in 1942. The main type of activity of the enterprise is manufacturing champagne and other various types of sparkling wine products, as well as processing of wine materials.

The preference will be given to the tender participant ready to offer the highest bid for the abovementioned shares of the Companies and undertake the highest amount of investment obligations based on investment requirements of the enterprises.

Investors interested in participating in the Tender must first submit a properly completed Application for participation and Confidentiality Statement. In that case the Tender Documentation package including Information Memorandum, Tender Rules, Bid Form can be obtained upon presenting to Case - by - Case Privatization Bureau the filled in and signed Application and Confidentiality Statement along with the copy of the document confirming the payment effected.

The price of the package of bidding documents on Hotel Complex "Markaziy" and JSC "Kokand spirits" constitutes USD 2 000 (two thousand), and on JSC "Uzbekiston shampani" constitutes USD 500 (five hundred) which are to be transferred to the account stated below.

The investors that have participated in the tender and have submitted their Bids earlier have the right to keep their Bids in force or to submit new ones instead without any additional payment before the deadlines indicated below.

The Bid submission deadline expires at 12 a.m. Tashkent time on June 24, 2008.

Opening of the packages with Tender Bids will be held in the Meeting Hall of the State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan (5th floor) at 4 p.m. Tashkent time on June 24, 2008.

Tender participants or their authorized representatives, which have submitted Tender Bids in accordance with established procedure, have the right to participate at the opening of the packages with Tender Bids.
