OREANDA-NEWS. June 4, 2008. Stroytransgaz started welding works at the section 0-116 km for Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) 0km-116km pipeline replacement project in Atyrau region (Republic of Kazakhstan). Agreement with project customer JSC "Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K" had been signed on 31 January 2008.

Stroytransgaz will procure and deliver materials (besides materials and equipment with long delivery time procured by CPC) and build the new pipeline section with length of 130.3 kilometers and 1020 millimeters diameter laid in a new route. Upon completion of construction and tie-in of newly constructed section into existing pipeline, Stroytransgaz will also dismantle of the old, decommissioned section of the oil pipeline.

Kazakhstan companies and specialists take active part in implementation of the project. Particularly, Kazakhstan institute of oil and gas developed for CPC engineering and design documentation considering high modern requirements to the technical parameters of the system, subcontractors taking part in construction are JSC "Kazhimmontazh Holding", CLL "Sparta", CLL "ABS" and CLL "Defectoscopiya".
