OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 June 2008 was announced, that the insurance company "Universalna" OJSC launched a child drawing contest "Artist-2008" within "Universalna’s Talents" festival. "Mom and Dad Insure the World" was picked for the contest’s topic.

The children contest held by "Universalna" was dedicated to the International Children’s Day celebrated annually on June 1.

The contest’s prize-winners were appointed by the expert jury and by voting among the company workers in four age categories: below 6, from 7 to 8, from 9 to 12, and from 13 to 17 year olds.

The jury consisted of representatives of Insurance Company "Universalna", Tetyana Pysmenna, a laureate of 7 National and 2 International Exhibitions (Russia, USA), Nataliya Volodina-Panchenko, teacher of Kyiv art school for children No.2 named after M. I. Verykivskyi, an honored culture worker of Ukraine, and Yuriy Amosov, the youngest pupil of Kyiv art school for children No.2 named after M. I. Verykivskyi.

Nataliya Volodina-Panchenko says, the companies wishing to win a wider popularity and better public understanding of their activity have to involve the young generation.

"The best way, I think, is launching this kind of contests and festivals. Since in order to participate, children have to learn more about insurance and its significance for today’s world. And a wish for creative expression of what has been grasped is of a great importance both to the company and children, and hence, for their parents", Nataliya Volodina-Panchenko admitted.

According to Tetyana Pysmenna, the highest acknowledgement was given to those children’s works that "radiated love, warmth, optimistic and brave insight into the future, for insurance itself grants confidence in our tomorrow".

"The key objective of such contests is to get children interested in participation", added Nataliya Volodina-Panchenko. "Small participants show a greater expression of freedom in their works, while adults cover the topic more deeply".

Participants of the contest were awarded with diplomas and gifts from Insurance Company "Universalna".
