OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that Central Partnership Group is the joint organizer of the first ever Russian pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival. As part of its work, Central Partnership will be presenting its biggest new projects: Taras Bulba, Goblin, and Invincible.

The other pavilion organizers are the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinema, Sovexportfilm, the Cinema Support Fund, the not-for-profit Russian Film Network, and the Russian producers’ guild.

Our goal was to unite Russian companies working in the film industry, in order to represent domestic cinema as a united front at the festival,” head of Sovexportfilm Grigory Gevorkyan, said. “And we’re very glad, that Central Partnership, a major player on the Russian market, is supporting the pavilion.”

“Organizing the Russian pavilion at Cannes is a very important event for all domestic film companies,” Central Partnership Vice President for International Relations Armen Dishdishyan thinks. “This is the way for Russia to prove itself as a major cinematic power.”
