OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that ZAO “Uralmash – burovoe oborudovanie” (UrBO, Ekaterinburg) – subsidiary of Integra Group – undertook the fit-up and presentation of heavy drilling rig BU 4200/250. The rig has been produced under the contract with OOO Gazkomplectimpex for “Gazprom”. Under the contract, 11 rigs will be supplied in total.

Fit-up was initiated by the Customer and will allow the assembling time of the drilling rig in the field to be reduced, as well as facilitating the functioning of rig-up teams in the extreme arctic conditions of North Siberia.  The rig has been given the name ‘Ekaterina’ after Ekaterinburg where it was produced.  It will be supplied to Bovanenkovskoe field of Gazprom.

During the presentation Vitaliy Tkachev, Integra’s Executive Vice President for Equipment Manufacturing and President of Uralmash-VNIIBT, said:

“Uralmash – burovoe oborudovanie” is a business with extensive engineering and production capabilities. Our aptitude for working within construction and engineering allows us to follow accurately all contracts’ conditions and the specific requirements of the Customer.”

“For Gazprom we found an opportunity to produce two more rigs ahead of schedule. During the summer, a total of three rigs will be supplied for work in Yamal. The competence and proficiency of UrBO’s team make us believe that all contractual commitments will be satisfied in full and on schedule”.
