OREANDA-NEWS. On June  10, 2008 Alliance Bank JSC (Almaty), securities of which are traded in the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) category "A" official list, provided to KASE the press release where informs on the following, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Alliance Bank reported a successful finalization of the next step towards the upgrading of its processing center. Alliance Bank's cards will now be fully serviced by Tranzware, a hi-tech soft hardware platform developed by Compass Plus, a Russian domiciled company. This step will enable to expand the range of the offered services as well as increase the fault tolerance of all Bank's card and acquiring systems.

"The Bank's transfer to Tranzware, a more sophisticated card service system, was determined by new requirements to the processing center in the context of the Bank's new strategy of building up highly innovative and technological Bank, - commented upon the innovation Denis Seredenko, a Managing Director of Alliance Bank. - "Our indisputable achievement is that we have managed to accomplish the transfer of our card service from former CTL to new Tranzware
system at short notice without re-issuing cards and any noticeable pauses in providing customer services. This is a rare and good luck to upgrade the processing center's software in such an effective manner."

Alliance Bank's new processing center has high potential for enhancing functionality and system efficiency as well as for the increase of the number of service customers and acquiring devices - ATMs and POS-terminals, said Mr. Seredenko. According to the conducted loading tests, due to its high efficiency, Tranzware is successfully processing 2 million active cards while online loading may reach 10 transactions per second.

The Bank's customers may already appreciate the advantages of the new card service system, Tranzware. As a result of effective integration of Tranzware with the Bank's automated system "New Athenes", and other information systems, Alliance Bank introduced a number of new services that significantly facilitated the opportunities of the customers in carrying out their money transactions. It includes, for example, alternative channels - Internet banking, SMS banking, payment of taxes, mobile and cable TV services through ATM or Internet-Banking, card-to-card, card-to-savings account and card-to-current account remittances - for the automatic loan repayment. Next in turn - mobile banking introduction and extension of Internet banking facilities.

Alliance Bank is the principal member of International payment system Visa and MasterCard. The Bank's processing center serves over 300 000 active cards with over 450 000 cards issued by the Bank.

As of June 1, 2008 the Alliance Bank's acquiring network comprises 1237 ATMs, including 318 cash-in ATMs, 157 POS-terminals in cash withdrawal points and 158 POS-terminals in retailer and service outlets. The Bank's customer base accounts for over 2 million people.
